It’s interesting, for me, when I take time for myself to enjoy my blog, things come much more naturally. Honoring myself and where i’m at is a certain type of respect that I need for myself in order to create.
I can certainly empathise with this, but in relation to all aspects of life. Always doing, no wriggle room for anything new / capacity left to deal with a sudden cold water surge! Learning to not fill every minute of my time is still something I have to remind myself of sometimes, but it certainly makes for happier living 🥰
Yeah, this problem impacts all areas of my life as well, apart from blogging.
The process of changing our thought patterns to slow down and live more mindfully certainly is challenging, but we can tackle it little by little each day.
It is as if you are tuned into my life through some mystical entity! I am experiencing many of the ups and in your newsletter post, Shower Shock Syndrome, points out. You have such an intelligent, comprehensive style when you write that it is bound to help others as well as me who are living everyday trials and tribulations. I need to express how grateful I am for all the helpful ways you impart. I put them into practice as you suggest and they work, I have every confidence this latest post of yours will be great, too. Thank you so very much Dr. Lovell! ❤️🌼
Oh Kathy, I really appreciate you saying that. I’m glad my writing resonates. And yes - it feels like we might be on the same wave length! I can’t wait to read more of your memoir.
